Timbren Suspension Enhancement System Spacer Kit Installation - 2022 Toyota Tundra- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Timbren rear spacer kit for the rear suspension enhancement on a 2022 Toyota Tundra. Now, these are gonna be a great addition if you've lifted your truck, have aftermarket suspension, or you want your Timbrens to engage quicker and reducing the amount of sag that your truck has while under load. If you've added Timbrens to your Tundra or you're planning on adding Timbrens, something that you're gonna want to consider is closing up the gap that this still has. Now, the factory downs bumper, it's kind of a laughable at how much of a gap it takes for it to close down and finally bottom out. And that's gonna really translate to a truck that sags quite a bit. And the Timbrens do a really good job of reducing that, and that's gonna give you a ton of different benefits across the board, whether it be handling, sway control, having better steering feel, better braking, and overall just less wear and tear on your suspension. more

And it's gonna be a great option if you're going on a trip and you need to store some extra luggage because maybe you have some friends and family with you and you can't put it on inside your vehicle, especially if you already have a hitch that's being used by either a trailer or something else or you don't have a hitch at all. And it's really gonna be good if you have any longer items that you can't fit into the back of your vehicle anyways. It's important you know what kind of roof you have, so way you can check is right now we do have a naked roof and that means we're not gonna have any type of rail on top. Now there's normally five main components that are required for flat towing your vehicle. And we'll start on the vehicle side. The first one's gonna be the base plate, and that's gonna be the attachment point to the solid portion of the frame or bumper beam of the vehicle. And that's where you have your removable arms here that attach to your tow bar. This is designed to support your factory hangers on your trailer. You'll have hangers if you have a tandem-axle trailer. You'll have six hangers, three on each side, and they're attaching your leaf springs to the trailer. So you have one on the back holding the leaf spring, one in the middle holding the equalizer, and one at the front holding the other end of your leaf spring. more

You're gonna have a seven pole plug to connect up trailers with brakes and a four pole plug to connect up trailers without brakes. Having both of these options is really nice to have on the back of your vehicle because no matter what trailer you pull up to, you're gonna be able to pull either one of them successfully, whether it's a four pole or a seven pole. Curt 5th Wheel Hitch Adapter Rails Installation - 2024 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Curt fifth wheel adapter rails for factory prep Chevy and GMC trucks with the OEM prep package. And today we have it on a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500. So if you've upgraded your towing rig to something with an OEM prep package, instead of going out and buying a whole new fifth wheel that drops into that, this adapter rail is gonna allow you to use your previous fifth wheel because this gives you the ISR standard rails. And that way you can drop that fifth wheel in and you'll be ready to hit the road. Now this is also a pretty heavy duty adapter, so depending on your fifth wheel, you're obviously gonna want to take a look at all the weights and make sure that everything's playing ball. This one is rated at a gross trailer weight rating of 25,000 pounds. more

MORryde X-Factor Crossmember Installation - 2020 Grand Design Momentum 5W Toy Hauler- Video
Hey guys. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember on our 2020 Grand Design Momentum. This system is designed to attach on the inside of both of your hangers on the back of your trailer where your leaf spring attaches, and basically what it's designed to do is it will stiffen that hanger so that when you're driving down the road, you don't have any flex in that hanger. We've actually seen the hangers come in and they're bent, or some people have even had 'em fail. So by stiffening that, you're making your ride a lot safer. These cross braces are designed to span from 61 inches all the way up to 79 1/2 inches. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Air Force One supplemental braking system on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WL new body style. Now, there's five main components required for flat towing your Jeep down the road. And starting on the vehicle side, we're gonna have our base plate, and that's going to structurally attach to the frame of the vehicle, creating a mounting point for the rest of our components and making it safe to be able to pull the vehicle down the road. And that's gonna have the hookups for some of the other components. So as you can see, we have the arms attached to our base plate. This goes to our tow bar, and this is gonna be the connection point between the base plate on the towed vehicle and on the hitch on the RV. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Blue Ox second vehicle breakaway switch kit. Before we do that though, let's take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. So one of the awesome things about the Blue Ox Patriot supplemental braking systems is the fact that they're super easy to set up, which can allow you to, you know, take it outta one vehicle and put it in another. So if you maybe just pick this Jeep up and you already have a Patriot system and another vehicle that you flat tow and you wanna pull the Jeep too, you could get this kit and set it up on your Jeep and that'll allow you to take that braking system that you already have and use it on your Grand Cherokee. How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima CoreBar system with the TimberLine Towers on our 2021 GMC Acadia. Now as far as adding a roof rack system to your vehicle, that's gonna help solve the problem of having additional space for your cargo and still loading up your vehicle with passengers. Having a roof rack also helps you with getting out there and having fun 'cause it can also support kayak carriers, bike carriers, as well as cargo boxes, as your weight capacity on the CoreBar system is at 220 pounds. However, you're definitely gonna want to consult with your manufacturer's instructions to see what the maximum capacity of the roof is. The best benefit of not having a fixed mounting point system and taking advantage of your raised rails is the fact that you can adjust your spread for whatever accessory you're using, like some of the items I listed, or maybe a tent. The bars themselves are 50 inches long, about three inches wide, two and three quarters and an inch tall. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Recovery Board Bracket for our sidebar that works with our Yakima Outpost HD truck bed system. The Yakima Recovery Board Bracket can support up to four recovery boards. For our example, I've just grabbed a couple MAXTRAX MKII boards. They're thicker and they're a little bit beefier boards and they fit just fine as far as the clearance between the top of your HD bar and the bottom of the side of the bed. So they go on really easily. You just wanna try to bear in mind the size of your boards as far as the spacing between the front and rear brackets. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima SideBar on our OutPost HD, which is mounted to our 2023 Ford F-150. Your SideBar is equipped with a T-track slot that's gonna work with your Yakima accessories. So you can add in hook loops, your RotopaX accessory mounts for your jerry cans, as well as recovery track mounting brackets as well that slide right in. And so you're gonna get that much more usability along with your HD bars with your OutPost or OverHaul. The SideBar has a hundred-pound weight capacity that's gonna allow you to get a lot of extra weight to the sides of your vehicle. You just wanna keep that in mind when you're loading up your gear. more

Front Runner Ladder Review- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this ladder from Front Runner for 5th Gen 4Runners. So it's designed to work with those 5th Gen 4Runners and give you an easier way up to the roof, whether it's to access your factory crossbars or if you added a Front Runner platform, maybe stuff that's up on the platform. Let's check it out. So right out of the gate, there's a few things to know about this ladder. It's gonna be pretty narrow, so my feet, I can really only fit one on one rung at a time, and it does have a weight capacity of 260 pounds. more

Fixing a Leaky Transmission Fitting- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Derale transmission line compression fitting. Now if you come in here, you'll see that we've got it installed on our vehicle already. Now the issue that we we inchesre having here is that you can see our crimp fittings from the factory down here. We didn't want to have to replace the entire line set just because one crimp fitting was faulty. This top crimp fitting here was leaking, so we just replaced it using the Derale fitting. more

If you are looking for a sleek, easy to use roof rack system that you can carry around fun accessories like kayaks or a bike rack, or even expand your cargo space through the roof box or roof basket, well our Yakima roof rack here is gonna be a good option for you. Something very unique to the Yakima Skyline system is how easy it is to take off and reattach. So you just pull the end caps, you can lift it off of the landing pad and you even get little storage covers to put on top so that you have a very sleek system. So this keeps the functionality of having a roof rack, but if you don't want the roof rack on, you can take it right off. What I've found though with the Highlander is there really isn't a reason to take off your crossbars because look at the roof of the car. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack system on our 2022 Nissan Armada. What a roof rack system is gonna do for you, is help solve the issue of getting additional cargo space when you're loaded down with passengers. The Armada is more focused as far as moving people versus objects. So if you have longer or bulkier items, having a roof rack is gonna allow you to transport that as well as your crew at the same time. Your weight capacity is right at 165 pounds, but you definitely wanna check your owner's manual to make sure you're within the capacity of your roof. Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2021 Ford Escape, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Demco Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Line Kit. Whenever you're flat towing your vehicle down the road, what can happen is your battery can get depleted. All right And that's because some of the systems on the vehicle are using battery power. A lot of stuff is electronic nowadays and is very voltage sensitive and the braking systems, whenever those are being turned on and you're hitting your brakes, those are also using battery power, so what can happen over time is the battery get depleted and eventually run flat and then you got kind of a headache on your hands, right And so that's where a charge line kit like this one here is going to come into play. What'll happen is it'll use auxiliary power from your motorhome 7-way, send that amperage back and essentially trickle charge or maintain your Escape's battery. more
